On November 28, 1988, the island of Grenada produced a set of stamps highlighting great all-time players for each Major League Baseball team that was in existance at that time. The four players that were honored with stamps for the New York Yankees were, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, and Don Mattingly. Shown here is the genuine First Day Cover for Don Mattingly, with his stamp cancelled from Grenada on the first day of issue.
