On June 30, 2005, the USPS issued the second set of Disney stamps called Celebrations. One of these four shows Mickey & Pluto celebrating a Birthday. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Anaheim, Ca.) on the first day of issue captioned above. *** Note the special "Tink" cancellation created expressly for this series of stamps.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) consists of three older, uncancelled stamps... keeping with the theme of "celebrations", the first is Pluto and his Christmas tree; the second is the 2004 Mickey, Donald and Goofy stamp; and, the third is the rare 1968 U.S. Walt Disney stamp.
Joining this collectible, historic piece of Disney memorabilia is a print of the third "reason to celebrate...Thanksgiving." It's the Disney spin on Norman Rockwells famous painting, Freedom From Want.
Matted in blue, we've sized this piece to fit a standard 11 x 14 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
