On June 21, 1991, London hosted a Welcome Home Parade to honor the Armed Forces who had participated in Operation Desert Storm. Shown here is a Commemorative Cover 'freezing' the place (London), on the date (captioned above) that the parade took place. Note the special postmark which says, "City Salutes Gulf Parade, London, E.C." On a commemorative cover, the stamp only serves to furnish current postage, for without it, the post office would not affix the cancellation.
Double matted in blue & white, we've sized this piece to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.
