On September 14, 1959, the USPS commemorated the Centenary of the American Dental Association. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp promoting Dental Health cancelled from the city of issue (New York, New York) on the first day of issue captioned above. Note the special postmark honoring this event.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a little girl beaming a healthy smile. Since this is the only stamp issued by the USPS honoring dentists, it is getting hard to find. This one is unaddressed and in perfect condition, adding to its value.
Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. At Wall Art Collectibles we mat to standard frame sizes allowing you to select the frame of your choice. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
