Dale Earnhardt Sr. - No. 3.......
When Dale Earnhardt died tragically in 2001, several countries issued postal stamps to capitalize on his popularity. Because the U.S. at that time had the '10 Year Rule' - one (Presidents excluded) could not have one's face on a postal stamp until 10 years after one's death (it's recently been changed to 5 years!), there could be no U.S. stamp for Dale Earnhardt. Shown here is a Souvenir Sheet from Abkhazia depicting Dale Earnhardt on the stamp and the surrounding artwork of four No.#3 cars.
Double matted in black and white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.
