On February 23, 1976, the USPS issued a set fo 50 stamps commemorating the 50 State Flags in the Bicentennial Year. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp of the State Flag of Delaware cancelled from the city of issue (Washington, DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) shows a statue of Caesar Rodnay, Patriot and Soldier, and responsible for the deciding vote for Independence.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
