On July 4, 1987, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 200th Anniversary of the Statehood of Delaware. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the full-color stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Dover, DE) on the first day of issue captioned above.  Note the special postmark designed to cancel this stamp on its 'birthday.'

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) depicts Delaware's chemical, poultry, and fishing industries. The company that produced this cover has also written a brief commentary about Delaware, which we've included.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
