On October 28, 1983, Canada issued a stamp to commemorate the 100th anniversary of its distinguished Dalhousie Law School. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Halifax, Nova Scotia) on the first day of issue captioned above. Note the special postmark featuring the school emblem, as does the stamp.
The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows Sir James Dunn after whom the Law Library is named, and the Weldon Law Building. The company that produced this cover has also included a brief commentary about the oldest University Common-law school in the British Commonwealth.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
