On October 1, 1988, the USPS issued a set of four stamps commemorating the Carrousel Animals...the Goat, Buck, Camel and Horse.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover showing the Carrousel Buck Stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Sandusky, Ohio) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a handsome Buck carved in 1895 by Gustav Dentzel, founder of the first carrousel comapny in the U.S. and features a rack of real antlers. The company that produced this cover also wrote a short commentary about carrousel animals.  We have included a copy for you.

Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
