On August 23, 2001, the USPS issued a set of stamps commemorating four Carnivorous Plants...the English Sundew, the Venus Flytrap, the Yellow Trumpet, and the Cobra Lily.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp for the Venus Flytrap, depicting this lethal plant showing both its attractive insect-luring interior and a trapped butterfly in its catches,  cancelled from the city of issue (Des Plaines, IL) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a host of Venus Flytraps. It's printed on silk, the luminosity lending an almost three dimensional quality to the picture. Let's face it... how many collectible pieces of memorabila for carnivorous plants are out there?  Induge yourself with this matted First Day Cover from Wall Art Collectibles

Double matted in green and white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
