On September 21, 1984, the United Nations issued a stamp honoring the country of Czechoslovakia, with a stamp depicting the National Flag of Czechoslovakia. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (United Nations, New York) on the first day of issue captioned above. Note the special cancellation designed to cancel this stamp on its 'birthday.'
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) celebrates the diversity of Czechoslovakia with several vignettes....from people in traditional dress to castles in Prague, and rural communities. The producer of this cover has also written a brief commentary about Czechoslovakia, which we've included.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
