On January 15, 1969, Canada issued a stamp to celebrate the sport of Curling, "The Roaring Game," which became an Olympic Sport in 1924. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Ottawa, Ontario) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features an athlete with granite stone and broom. There is no US stamp for Curling - the Canadians came through for this sport.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
