On July 21, 1995, the USPS issued a set of four stamps commemorating the Carrousel Horse. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover showing one of these stamps cancelled from the city of issue (Lahaska, PA) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a beautiful blond carrousel horse with a Cat inset. The company that produced this cover also wrote a short commentary on carrousel horses. We have included a copy for you. You can find out why carrousel animals are elaborately carved on the right side in America, while, in Europe, the left side is more ornately carved.
Double matted in light blue & dark blue, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
