On October 1, 1988, the USPS issued a set of four stamps commemorating the Carrousel Animals...the Goat, Buck, Camel and Horse. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover showing the Carrousel Goat Stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Sandusky, Ohio) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a handsome Goat. The picture is printed on silk surrounded by gold embossing.
