On September 8, 2000, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 150th Anniversary of California Statehood. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp, depicting the California Coast Line cancelled from the city of issue (Sacramento, CA) on the first day of issue captioned above. The addition of four other stamps - the California Condor (1971), the 200th Anniversary of California Settlement (1969), the Centennial of California Statehood (1950), and Yosemite National Park (1935) ,make this a Combo....an extra special first day cover.  The older stamps were added to the envelope along with the new one and then all five were cancelled on the 'birthday' of the California Sesquicentennial of Statehood Stamp.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features artwork of the Golden Gate Bridge.  It's printed on silk, the luminosity lending an almost three dimensional look to the picture.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
