On October 29, 1971, the USPS issued a set of four stamps commemorating Historic Preservation.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp for the San Francisco Cable Car, cancelled from the city of issue (San Francisco, CA) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) features a charming line drawing of a San Francisco Cable Car.  The producer of this cover has also included a brief commentary about the cable car, which we're passing along.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
