On September 1, 1979, the country of Liberia issued several stamps featuring artwork of the Boy Scouts by Norman Rockwell, who designed the Boy Scout calendar for many years. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Monrovia) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) mirrors the artwork on the stamp, in this case a scout learning from an old sailor.

Double matted in blue &  tan, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY INCLUDED***
