On April 19, 1975, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the bicentennial of the Battles of Lexington and Concord. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from one of the cities of issue (Concord, MA - both Lexinton & Concord were the cities of issue) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a painting of the North Bridge at Concord and the ensuing battle. The producer of theis cover has also written a brief commentary of the battle, which we've included. Historic, collectible, this is one of several pieces of Revolutionary War Postal Memorabilia offered by Wall Art Collectibles.
Double matted in blue & white, this is matted to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
