On June 29, 1995, the USPS issued a set of twenty stamps commemorating people and events of the Civil War. One of the events commemorated was the battle of Chancellorsville where Stonewall Jackson was mortally wounded.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Gettysburg) on the first day of issue captioned above. Note the Special Cancellation designed for this set of stamps.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a full-color battle scene printed on silk surrounded by gold embossing.  Historic, collectible this is one of many Civil War pieces of memorabilia offered by Wall Art Collectibles.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
