Barack Obama - Election Night Photo with 5 Stamps
Barack Obama
addressed his supporters at Grant Park in Chicago after winning the
election on November 4, 2008 to become the 44th President of the United
States. Shown here is a photo print of this historic event. Wall Art
Collectibles is proud to offer this exclusive, collectible, historic piece of
presidential memorabilia. It's paired with five
uncancelled US stamps highlighting events in his life. On the left is a
7-cents Air Mail stamp for Hawaii statehood issued in 1959....Obama's
birth state. Following is the 13-cents stamp issued in 1976 with the
state flag of Illinois,
where Obama chose to pursue a career in community organization and
where he won a seat in the Illinois legislature, and eventually the US
Senate. The middle stamp depicts the Lincoln Memorial. It's one of the
stamps issued in 1959 to celebrate the sesquicentennial of Lincoln's
birth. We chose this stamp knowing how much Obama admires Lincoln, not
to mention the Illinois connection. The next stamp was issued in 1953
and commemorates the American Bar Association. Obama earned his law degree
from Harvard University in 1991, was the first black president of the
Harvard Law Review, and was a professor at the University of Chicago Law
School for twelve years. The final stamp was issued in 1954 and honors
Columbia
University, where Obama earned his undergraduate degree in
political science with a specialization of international relations.
Matted in blue, it will fit a standard 11x14
picture frame. ***Be sure to check out
the other four President Obama
pieces of postal stamp art, combining full-color photos with stamps.***
