Capitol and National Mall Photo with 6 Stamps
On January 20, 2009, Barack Obama was sworn in as
the 44th President of the United States.
Shown here is thee awesome photo print of the Inauguration at the US
Capitol taken from the opposite end of the National Mall. It captures
all the pomp and majesty of this historic event with the Capitol
festooned in American Flags and the million plus well-wishers who braved
cold temperatures to witness history. Wall Art Collectibles
is proud to offer this exclusive,
collectible, historic piece of
presidential memorabilia. It's paired with six
uncancelled US stamps highlighting events in his life. On the left is a
7-cents Air Mail stamp for Hawaii statehood issued in 1959....Obama's
birth state. Following is the 25-cents stamp commemorating the
bicentennial of the United States Congress, where Obama was the junior senator
from Illinois and the only US black senator as well. The middle
stamps show the five-cents US Flag stamp with the White House issued in 1963 and
the 2000 stamp depicting the White House in winter below it. The next stamp
was issued in 1968 and commemorates the sesquicentennial of Illinois Statehood.
It's Obama's home state where he was elected to the state legislature, a
stepping stone to the US Senate. The last stamp celebrates the American Bar
Association. Obama earned his law degree from Harvard University
in 1991, was the first black president of the Harvard Law Review, and
was a professor at the University of Chicago Law School for twelve
years.
Matted in blue, it will fit a standard 11x14
picture frame. ***Be sure to check out
