Banking and Commerce......

On October 6, 1975, the USPS issued two stamps commemorating the Centennial of the American Bankers Association by honoring Banking & Commerce.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover (an envelope with the both stamps cancelled on the First Day of Issue from the City of Issue (New York City.

What makes this cover special is the historical and rare cachet (the artwork on the envelope.  It has a drawing of the Bank of North America, the First Chartered Bank in the U.S. and the twin towers of the World Trade Center in Manhattan.  This is one of the few cachets to feature the WTC before the events of 9/11.

Double matted in green & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY INCLUDED***
