On July 29, 2005, the USPS issued a set of ten stamps called American Advances in Aviation. Instead of having the usual one city of issue, this set has two cities of issue...Vienna, Virginia and Oshkosh, Wisconsin.  We have closen to have our covers for this set issued from Oshkosh. A special cancellation was designed for this set setting it apart from all previous cancellations.

Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover of the B-24 Liberator, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from Oshkosh on the first day of issue captioned above. The cachet (artwork on the envelope) consists of four uncancelled, collectible stamps...the 1957 50th Anniversary of the Air Force (from a part of the Army Air Corps to 1947 when it became a separate service branch); the Honoring Veterans stamp displaying Old Glory; the WWII Memorial issued in 2004, and the B-24's over the Ploesti refineries, issued in 1993.

The first day cover is joined by 1 full-color art print of a B-24 Liberator bombing the Ploesti refineries DURING WWII.

Matted in blue, and sized to fit a standard 8 x 10, it's a perfect gift for anyone who loves military aircraft.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
