On April 22, 1994, the USPS issued a stamp to honor the Buffalo Soldiers. Shown here is a genuine FIRST DAY COVER, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the CITY OF ISSUE (Dallas, Texas) on the FIRST DAY OF ISSUE captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a Buffalo Soldier on horseback having just fired his rifle. The picture is printed on silk, the luster lending an-almost three dimensional quality to the cachet. This is a collectible, historic piece of Black Heritage and US Army memorabilia.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame. ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY INCLUDED***
