On June 29, 1988, the USPS issued an imprinted postcard to commemorate the Black Ball Line and its packet ship the Yorkshire. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the imprint or "stamp" cancelled from the city of issue (Mystic, Ct.) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a drawing of the Yorkshire under full sail.  Great art, unaddressed, this cover is a collectible, historic piece of "commerce under sail" memorabilia.

Double matted in green & white, this piece will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
