It's an envelope with the new stamp cancelled on the first day of issue (October 5, 1973) from the city of issue (Saint Joseph, Mo.)

on the envelope) features a close-up head of a Black Angus Bull as well
as a side view. The caption reads: "Originating in Scotland and
introduced to the United States in 1873 BLACK ANGUS CATTLE are noted for
the excellent quality of their flesh."
