On November 28, 1988, the island of Grenada produced a set of stamps highlighting great all-time players for each Major League Baseball team that was in existance at that time. The three players that were honored with stamps for the Atlanta Braves were Dale Murphy, Hank Aaron, and Warren Spahn. An advantage that foreign countries have over the U.S. is that they are able to issue stamps for living people. In the U.S. a person has to have been dead for at least 10 years before being elligible for a stamp. The exception are presidents who will get a stamp within a year of their death. Shown here is a Full-color art print of Dale Murphy combined with an uncancelled, collectible Grenada stamp.
Matted in blue, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.
