On June 29, 1999, the USPS issued four stamps to commemorate American Glass...Pressed Glass, Art Glass, Free-Blown Glass, and Mold-Blown Glass. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with all four new stamps cancelled from the city of issue (Corning, NY) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a glass blower, a Tiffany window, and various examples of different glass. The beautiful colors and examples of different types of glass make these stamps little miniature pieces of art.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
