On September 21, 1987, the USPS issued a stamp to honor Certified Public Accountants and their 100 years of professionalism. In the U.S. the American Association of Public Accountants was formed in 1887, evolving into the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (New York) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features an abacus.  First Day Covers of the CPA Stamp are getting difficult to find and will only get more expensive.  Collectible, historic, and unaddressed, this piece of postal and accounting memorabilia will make a great gift for any CPA. The producer of this cover has also written a brief commentary about accounting; we've included a copy.

Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  Remember that at Wall Art Collectibles we size our mat to only fit standard frame sizes allowing you to purchase the frame of your choice.        ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY PLUS COMMENTARY INCLUDED***
