On February 18, 1999, the USPS issued a stamp depicting Jackson Pollock to commemorate the art movement Abstract Expressionism. This event was one of fifteen chosen to represent the decade of the 1940's. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Dobbins AFB, Ga.) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features an artist at work. Historic, collectible, this is a very personal gift for anyone who loves and appreciates Abstract Expressionism.
It's double matted in blue & white and will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included plus a short blurb on this 20th century art movement***
