Annie Oakley.....

On October 18, 1994, the USPS issued a set of 20 stamps called Legends of the West. This stamp is one of those and honors legendary sideshow sharpshooter - Annie Oakley.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Laramie, Wyoming) on the first day of issue captioned above.  In short, it's the 'birthday' of the stamp - a collectible, historic piece of postal and Western memorabilia.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows a colored photograph of Annie Oakley taking aim.  The company that produced this cover has also written a brief commentary about Annie Oakley which we've included.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY plus COMMENTARY INCLUDED***
