American Sign Language.....

On September 20, 1993, the USPS issued the American Sign Language - Deaf Communication Stamp.  Shown here is a genuine 1st Day Cover with both stamps cancelled from the city of issue - Burbank, CA on the 1st Day of Issue captioned above.

The cachet - artwork on the envelope - shows a seated girl signing the word 'love.'  The original picture was rendered in watercolors by award-winning cachet artist Sue Allen.

Matted in blue and white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY PLUS COMMENTARY INCLUDED***
