On March 8, 1978, the USPS issued a set of four American Quilt stamps. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with all four stamps cancelled from the city of issue (Charleston, WV) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) shows a woman working on a quilt. Historic and collectible, this is a lovely piece of quilting memorabilia, especially with the complete set on one cover.
Double matted in blue & white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 X 10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
