On November 4, 1988, the USPS honored American impressionist painter, Mary Cassatt with another stamp, this time as a part of the Great Americans series. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Philadelphia, Pa.) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a portrait of Cassatt surrounded by several of her paintings. Historic, collectible, this is a very personal gift for anyone who loves and appreciates the art of Mary Cassatt.
It's double matted in blue & white and will fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included plus a short bio of Cassatt***
