On March 15, 1969, the USPS issued a stamp honoring the 50th anniversary of The American Legion.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Washington, DC) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a soldier and the American Legion Emblem.  Collectible, historic, this is a great piece of military memorabilia.

Double matted in blue and white, this piece is sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity***
