On March 15, 1976, the USPS issued an imprinted envelope with the embossed imprint or "stamp" honoring The American Farmer in the Bicentennial Era. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the "stamp" depicting a shaft of wheat cancelled from the city of issue (New Orleans, LA) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a farmer in 1776 with his oxen team and plow.

Double matted in green & tan, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
