On June 12, 1971, the USPS issued a set of four stamps calling attention to Wildlife Conservation.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover for one of these stamps...the Alligator.  The envelope features this large stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Avery Island, LA) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The color cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a close-up drawing of our largest reptile that has come back from the brink of extinction.

Double matted in green & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10 picture frame.     ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
