On October 12, 1991, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the Migration to North America via the Bering Land Bridge circa 18,000 BC.  Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the full-color stamp, depicting the terrain as it might have looked with the continent's first inhabitants, cancelled from the city of issue (Anchorage, AK) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The sepia cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) again shows a group of Asians probably in search of game - the woolly mammoth and giant moose. The producer of this cover has also written a brief commentary about this migration, which we've included.

Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity plus Commentary Included***
