On March 30, 1967, the USPS issued a stamp commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Purchase of Alaska from Russia. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp depicting a native Totem cancelled from the city of issue (Sitka, AK) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the post office) shows William H. Seward and Baron Edouard de Stoeckl of Russia signing the treaty in 1867.
Double matted in blue & white, it's sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
