5th International Philatelic Exhibition 1st Day Cover 1956 Souvenir Sheet...

On April 28, 1956, the USPS issued a Souvenir Sheet, showing two 3-cents Statue of Liberty stamps, to commemorate the 5th International Philatelic Exhibition held at the New York Coliseum from April 26 to May 6, 1956.  Shown here is a genuine 1st Day Cover, an envelope with the souvenir sheet cancelled from the city of issue (New york, NY) on the first day of issue captioned above.

The cachet (artwork on the envelope produced by a private company, not the USPS), shows the Statue of Liberty with the logo for the exhibition below.

Double matted in blue and white, this item is sized to fit a standard 8x10 frame.  ***Certificate of Authenticity Included***
