On January 15, 1952, the USPS issued a stamp to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of 4-H Clubs. Shown here is a genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Springfield, Ohio) on the first day of issue captioned above.
The black & white cachet (artwork on the envelope) features a young boy with a calf, a young girl with a basket of eggs, and the clover insignia. Great art, great history, unaddressed, this cover is a collectible, piece of farm and postal memorabilia.
