2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.... On January 22, 2010, the USPS
issued a stamp to commemorate the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games. Shown here is a
genuine First Day Cover, an envelope with the new
44-cents stamp cancelled from the city of issue (Park City, Utah) on the first day of issue captioned
above. The colorful stamp depicts a snowboarder in action , the words
'Vancouver 2010' at the top and the five Olympic Rings.
The full-color cachet (artwork on the envelope produced
by a private company) features the skyline of Vancouver with the
Canadian Flag rising above it, with a mountain and snowboarder at the
very top. The picture is printed on silk,
the colors having a luster that makes the picture look almost
3-dimensional.
Double matted in blue & white,
it's sized to fit a standard 8 x 10
picture frame. ***Certificate of Authenticity Included ***
