On July 19, 1997, the USPS issued a set of twenty different aircraft stamps called Classic American Aircraft. Shown here is a Collector Panel, commissioned original artwork with 10 of the 20 stamps displayed in mint condition. The aircraft featured on this panel are the Vega, the B-47 Stratojet, the B-17 Flying Fortress, the Staggerwing, the B-10, the Tri-Motor, the Jenny, the Piper Cub, the Constellation, and the P-38 Lightning.
The beautifully illustrated artwork shows the US Marines version of the O2U-1 Corsair, the first aircaft to bear the famous name "Corsair. A set of these Aircraft stamps is getting expensive. This stunning Collector Panel is the perfect way to have them displayed. A commentary about each aircraft comes with this piece. We have also added a copy of the back of the entire sheet of these stamps since the back of each stamp also has a blurb about each plane.
